T-Mobile G1 en vente aux Etats-Unis !

 

Depuis mardi soir, le T-Mobile G1 est en vente à San Francisco, et il sera en vente dans le reste des Etats-Unis le lendemain. Concernant les clients qui l’avaient pré-commandé, ils ont déjà reçu leur numéro de suivi et ils devraient être livrés aujourd’hui ou demain…

T-Mobile USA a bien préparé le lancement du G1 (construit par Taiwan High-Tech Computer – HTC), des files de 150 mètres s’était constituée aux alentours du magasin T-Mobile de San Francisco. C’est Christopher Laddish, un étudiant américain, qui était le premier de la grande file, il aurait attendu plus de 8 heures… T-Mobile lui a même donné un tee-shirt où il est écrit : « J’ai été le premier à l’obtenir ».

Une fois l’horloge qui annonçait 18h (heure locale), les clients ont pu se ruer dans le magasin. Quelques minutes plus tard Christopher Laddish est sorti avec un grand sourire, entouré par les photographes et les caméras de télévision qui étaient là pour suivre le début des ventes du premier téléphone sous Android. Il y avait même des macophiles, déçus par l’iPhone et intrigués par le G1 et son clavier QWERTY.

Pour rappel, le T-Mobile G1 coûte 170 euros pour 2 années d’abonnement. Il possède un large écran tactile de 3,2 pouces, utilisable horizontalement ou verticalement, qui se coulisse pour laisser place à un clavier QWERTY. Le G1 embarque un bi-processeur Qualcomm cadencé à 528 MHz, 192 Mo de mémoire vive et 256 de mémoire interne, avec la possibilité de rajouter une carte microSD jusqu’à 8 Go (carte 1 Go fournie). Pour ce qui est de la connectivité : EDGE, 3G, 3G+, GPS, WiFi…

Pour ce qui concerne la France ? Il semble qu’il y est une exclusivité Vodafone dans le panier, on pourrait donc penser que SFR pourrait certainement le commercialiser en mars/avril 2009 (des suppositions…).
